I would like to tell you a little about myself and my family. I have been married for over 25 years to a Houston Police Detective and we have lived in Magnolia for a little over 22 years. So, I have seen this area grow tremendously. I have a 22-year-old daughter at Sam Houston State and a 15-year old daughter at Magnolia High School. We love the outdoors, boating and overall spending time with the family which can be hard with our busy schedules.
In the early 2000's I started helping friends with parties and events and found my passion. I started working for an event company that handled non-profit events, birthday parties, and weddings. I loved the wedding side from start to finish. While working for them I was contracted by the festival to be the wedding coordinator from 2011-2013. At the end of 2013 I left that company and came to work directly for the festival. Since 2011 the weddings have gone from an average of about 30 a season to almost 70. It's now 19 days of craziness with up to 6 weddings a day.
This year I added all special events to my work, so now I coordinate corporate evens, birthday parties, proposals, and pretty much any type of event you can imagine.
Both of my girls also work for the festival as well. My oldest has helped me with weddings for 6 years and my youngest was an actress on the German Court for the past 4 years but will now help us with weddings. My husband holds down the fort at home and enjoys the peace and quiet he gets during festival time.
