Texas Renaissance Festival Invades Comicpalooza!

Character appearances from May 25 - May 27, 2012

 

WHAT:           The Texas Renaissance Festival, the nation’s largest and most acclaimed festival of its kind, will make a royal appearance at The Texas International Comic Convention’s 2012 Comicpalooza, Friday, May 25 – Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX.

Even though the Texas Renaissance Festival will not open its gates until October 6, 2012, characters will be out and about at local events year-round, such as Comicpalooza, to bring the sights, sounds and beauty of the 16th century to the community.

            For three exciting days, the lords and ladies of the King and Queen’s court will leave their majestic kingdom to be in Houston so they can mix and mingle with comic book heroes, villains and perhaps a zombie or two! All fans are encouraged to interact and snap photos with the characters to post on the Texas Renaissance Festival’s Facebookand Twitter

Comicpaloozais a multi-format pop culture convention in the southwest United States that brings together not only fans of comic books, but fans of science fiction, fantasy, video and table top gaming, anime, music and film as well.

Texas Renaissance Festival characters will be in attendance from Friday beginning at 12 p.m. to Sunday ending at 7 p.m.

COST:            Adult 3-Day Admission: $45 at the gate, $40 in advance

Child 3-Day Admission: $16 at the gate, $12 in advance

Adult Friday Admission: $25 at the gate, $12 in advance

Adult Saturday Admission: $35 at the gate, $30 in advance

Adult Sunday Admission: $25 at the gate, $20 in advance

Child One Day Admission: $12 at the gate, $10 in advance

VIP Membership: $150 at the gate, $125 in advance
